It is with a sense of profound sadness that the Board of Directors of Right to Freedom offers its deepest condolences on the death of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Our thoughts and prayers go out first and foremost to her family, as well as to the countless number of Bangladeshis at home and abroad whose lives she touched.
Right to Freedom(R2F) is a human rights advocacy organization dedicated to defending democracy. The organization observes political repression, electoral integrity, and human rights abuses, and provides policy recommendations. With a key focus on authoritarian backsliding in South Asian region, the organization works to amplify the voices of pro-democracy activists and push for accountability in governance.
